Child Safety Standards

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Our commitment

Trusted Table is a peer support community for parents and caregivers of children with pediatric cancer. The safety of children is our highest priority. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Trusted Table:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including images, video, text, or links
  • Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to exploit minors
  • Content that sexualizes minors in any form
  • Sharing personal information of minors without parental consent
  • Any conduct intended to gain inappropriate access to children

Violations of these standards will result in immediate account termination and reporting to the appropriate authorities.

In-app reporting

All users can report concerning content or behavior directly within the app. Reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team. Any content or account found to violate our child safety standards is removed immediately and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other relevant regional or national authorities as required by law.

Reporting requirements and legal compliance

Trusted Table complies with all applicable child safety laws, including but not limited to the PROTECT Our Children Act and 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (mandatory NCMEC reporting). We report any discovered CSAM to NCMEC's CyberTipline and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.

Proactive safeguards

We take the following proactive steps to prevent child exploitation on our platform:

  • User registration requires age verification — our platform is intended for adult caregivers only
  • Content moderation tools are in place to detect and remove violating material
  • Direct messaging is opt-in and can be disabled by any user
  • Users can block others and report any message or post directly in the app
  • Our team reviews flagged content and accounts on an ongoing basis
